Director of Research: Jaya Chakrabarti MBE, MSc

A former physicist turned data scientist, Jaya is a digital activist with a passion for using open data and technology for good. As CEO of award-winning tiscreport.org, she is focusing on tackling corruption and modern slavery in supply chains. She is extending into environmental action with projectvana.org, an afforestation-with-data app. Jaya was named one of the top 100 Corporate Influencers in Modern Slavery 2018, and a top 100 Asian Star in Tech 2019. Jaya serves on the DCMS Digital Economy Business Advisory Group, the Home Office Transparency in Supply Chains Modern Slavery Strategy & Implementation Group, and Honorary Research Fellow of the UCL Jill Dando Institute of Security and Crime Science. During her years in corporate transparency, she identified a need for focused research into social impact in order to create a solid data infrastructure fit for purpose.
Finance Director: Neil Chakrabarti, MBA, MEng

Neil is a seasoned CFO and qualified management accountant with solid financial experience across all sectors. He started his career as a chemical engineer, having graduated from the University of Leeds. After a number of years as a data analyst in the car hire industry, Neil joined the public sector organisation Monitor, where he was a compliance manager. Neil then won a scholarship to Cranfield School of Management where he completed his MBA. He then jumped sectors and was Commercial Controller for Action for CHildren for four years before going into the private healthcare sector working across several innovative companies. Neil consequently brings a huge breadth of cross-sectoral experience to ISIR, which makes him perfect for the social impact mission of the Society.
Technology Director: Stuart Gallemore, MSc

Stuart has been analysing regulatory compliance and possible criminal activities in companies and their supply chains from acquired information and public data source since 2014. He has built many award-winning innovations in human rights tech using this experience. Most recently his work on Project Vana and TISCreport has been awarded
Prior to this his long track record of experience in producing website solutions for marketing and online applications in fields varying from big brand campaigns to dot com startups. As technology Director, Stuart is responsible for ensuring that our research team has access to the necessary data sources and technologies in order to achieve our mission.
